Are your puffer's gills clamped or swollen?  Are its fins torn or frayed?  Are its eyes hazy, or protruding more than normal?

The puffer has an external infection, popeye, mechanical injury, fighting injury, gill disease or fin and tail rot.  Treat with Maracyn-two, or Tetracycline Tablets, or Trisulfa with Coppersafe or Maracide.
